THE BASIS FOR EFFICIENT SLURRY FERTILIZATION IS A NEAR-GROUND SPREADING TECHNOLOGY WITH HANGING PIPES.
Strip by strip for optimized fertilization
The goals of hanging pipes technology:
- Near-ground application through hanging pipes
- Reduction of nitrogen emissions by an average of 20 %
- Slurry application with an open hose end at a distance of 25 cm
ECO COMPACT
Specially developed for the use of slurry hoses, this hanging pipes technology offers an optimum overview thanks to its low design.
- Up to 40 % slope
- Good lateral distribution
PROFESSIONAL
The professional solution for contractors and large farms. This is how ground-level manure application is done on a large scale.
- Fully hydraulic folding
- Working width up to 18 m
NEAR-GROUND SLURRY APPLICATION: THE FINAL STEP IN OPTIMIZED SLURRY MANAGEMENT
The path of nutrients
After storage in the slurry pit, the farm manure is mixed, possibly diluted with water or separated and then transported to the field via the slurry hose or by means of a slurry tank. The last step is to spread the slurry so that the nutrients also reach the roots of the plants. The plant population should be polluted as little as possible to avoid burns and nutrient losses and to maintain feed quality. The selection of spreading technology plays a crucial role in the success of slurry management.
Spreading close to the ground saves nutrients and money
Valuable ammonia is lost when the slurry comes into contact with the air. These nitrogen emissions are not only noticeable in the odor, but are also subsequently lacking in the plant population during later growth. On average, 20 % less ammonium-N is lost through the use of hanging pipes technology. This not only saves nutrients and money, but also contributes to achieving environmental targets and the NEC Directive. Another positive side effect is the reduced odor pollution for local residents.
The right technique makes all the difference
The composition of the slurry must be taken into account when selecting the treatment and spreading method. Slurry rich in dry matter must either be separated or diluted with water and homogenized very well. Furthermore, straw cutters and sludge separators are definitely useful for the efficient operation of slurry spreading.
